When considering new building design for housing, the land size has no affect on the design quality or the nature of the area.

A new residential complex must match with the surrounding area and have no big impact in terms of size, appearance and location. The position of the new build proposal should relate to any existing housing and the character of the area. We take into account all aspects of the new design mentioned above, but that does not mean we will copy the surrounding properties.

We have to consider the density of the proposals in conjunction with the local amenities and the dwellings per hectare the local authority adopt. Density is calculated based on the land territory, which needs to be built upon and which needs to take into account driveways, footpaths, private gardens and car parks, and on larger lands you must also take into consideration open space and landscaping.

We always try to make use of your land as efficiently as possible and try to squeeze the maximum potential considering local character and high quality design. Other considerations are safety, accessibility and proper lighting.

Sometimes it is possible to reconstruct an existing property, converting and possibly extending it to achieve the desired design and layout. This often happens with historical and agricultural buildings, where careful consideration of the design and character of the buildings is a high priority for designers.

The area in which the project will be completed in and the new build project will be reliant on it’s location – whether that’s a city centre, the suburbs or rural outskirts. We have designed houses, terraces, apartments over shops in urban areas, common space apartments in traditional houses with front gardens. As well as this, we have completed individual builds in rural areas, designed according to client specifications.
